Red River Gorge

I just got back from a six day camping trip in Kentucky's Red River Gorge. The Gorge is located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. We arrived Saturday afternoon and found a good camp site that had showers. We were all really happy about that after spending our first day out in the heat! We rock climbed most mornings for about 5 hours, traveled back to camp and ate lunch, then went in search of a swimming spot so we could cool off. Thursday night, there were thunderstorms for 8 hours. Our tent leaked so we decided to head home on Friday instead of Saturday.

Nice and clean at the beginning of the trip.

We took a skylift to the top of the Natural Bridge.

The Natural Bridge

This walkway was only a couple of feet wide.

We swam in this water hole that was fed by a waterfall coming off of the lake. On the third or fourth day, a snake swam right at us! We decided not to come swimming here again.

Craft night with Breagan and Aaron.
